Position Description:

Finance Analyst

Rate: £29.52 PAYE (Via Umbrella) increasing to £35.65 under AWR’s after 13 weeks  – Agency Worker Regulations

This is a broad engaging role as Finance Analyst for our client at their Engine Plant Manufacturing Finance.

Responsibilities cover cost control, including Overtime, Scrap, Maintenance and Tooling spend, projects coordination (including spending forecasts) and annual fixed assets verification.

Additionally, month end journals, purchase requisition and work order approvals. This role works at all levels from hourly staff to senior management. This role reports into the Controller of DEP.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead for month end journals for DEP Purchase requisition approvals.
  • Lead for invoicing and revenue tracking for external customers.
  • Weekly collating of Overtime requests and comparison against actuals
  • Fixed Asset management including lead for annual Fixed Asset Verification process.
  • Raising Intercompany Billing Approvals and associated billings for asset transfers Investment spending forecasting (monthly forecast, budget and business plan)

Skills Required:

  • Effective communication skills across all levels (hourly staff to senior management)
  • Confidence to challenge assumptions and the status quo
  • Concise/clear presentation of data key insights and related recommendations
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient user of Excel

Skills Preferred:

Automation using Macros / Power Automate / Alteryx / Qlik Sense

Experience Required:

Experience of working in a Finance role

Experience Preferred:

Working with large datasets

Working in a Manufacturing environment

Education Required:

Qualified Accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA or equivalent)

Hybrid working -  3 days on site.

Flexibility required at peak times.
